35 eco-friendly free-standing tree hut-style villas cleverly nestled into the edge of a rainforest reserve with the beach of Pauani as its neighbour required some very special considerations during construction to protect the natural beauty that surrounded this boutique resort.

The history of the north island of NZ along with the immediate picturesque location, provided the inspiration to refurbish this unique boutique hotel.  Our brief encompassed redesigning 3 room types, reception, foyer, lobby, conference rooms, restaurant, bar and deck.

One of the most rewarding challenges was the successful conversion of what was once a dead uninviting area of the restaurant into what is now the most popular private dining room in the precinct! Our transformation involved a massive 10m x 3m back lit feature wine wall with cosy fireplaces and stone stacked chimneys!
