Old world charm with contemporary comfort

A heritage-listed sandstone building in the Margaret River region of WA, Basildene Manor’s immaculate exterior and garden belied the ad hoc nature of the interior, and its’ desperate need for updating, to bring its accommodation offering into line with 21st Century expectations of a what a luxury 5 star hotel experience should be.

As some suites were under 20 sqm, it was decided to keep the interiors palette quite simple and neutral to allow the bones of the building to shine through. The result is a property that Trip Adviser has rated as one of the most romantic holiday destinations in Australia.
