That ‘home-away-from-home’ feeling
Located within Melbourne’s bustling and trendy South Precinct, the Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne Northbank has been thoughtfully designed with the modern traveller in mind.
A beautiful new refurbishment inspired by the dynamic streets of Northbank.
The design concept for this refurbishment was initially developed from understanding the Adina end-user (patron), and the location (Melbourne). The key take outs were to consider the current Adina brand standards and understanding the needs of the glocal patrons to improve the overall guest experience.
The delivery was based on how people functionally use short-term stays, and In Design International (IDI) placed themselves in the position of the traveller in those spaces, from the public to the private areas.
The concept involved engaging with patrons and visitors to the hotel, generating spaces that are contemporary and comfortable, delivering spaces that Adina patrons want to spend time in, all whilst representing the touristic attractions of Melbourne, from Flemington Racecourse to Melbourne University, from Fashion to Sport.
Adina Northbank’s public areas and guest rooms have been transformed with a much-welcomed injection of texture and colour with accents of navy and vibrant honey yellow. Contemporary meets vintage semi-industrial furnishings using elements of concrete, black steel, and timber, giving the space a lux comfortable yet urban feel for hotel guests. The layout has been reconfigured to maximise space and include additional furnishings for an improved guest experience. And in true Melbourne style, a playful combination of historical décor & contemporary art has been integrated throughout.
