del Castillo was founded in the French Alps by director Penny Del Castillo. Having moved around the world, the studio has now landed in Melbourne, Australia.
The award-winning team of interior architects and designers have an extensive portfolio of completed refurbishments for some of Australia’s iconic hotels, including most recently Sebel Sydney Manly Beach, Adina North Bank, Sebel Flinders Lane, (Grand Mercure) Basildene Manor WA, Novotel Brisbane and many more.
The studio is accustomed to creating bespoke spaces for exclusive wellness retreats and spas, including Novotel Nusa Dua, Grand Mercure Puka Park, One Wybelenna Brisbane, O’Reilly’s Lost World – Rainforest Retreat, Batu Karang Resort & Spa and more. Private residential projects extend across bachelor living, beach houses to contemporary homes for both high profile executives and celebrities. Studio del Castillo’s offering has spread to date only by word-of-mouth from repeat clientele who respect the studio’s dynamic team of experienced talent, with principles across interior design, furniture design, fashion, graphics, hospitality, marketing and business.
To achieve the best finish for each and every client project, the team collaborate with the finest hardware suppliers, material providers, architects, engineers and industry consultants.
Our specialty in designing residential and hospitality makes our homes feel more like a hotel, and our hotels feel more like a home. And every one feels unique to the people who live there and the places they exist in.

There are a lot of agendas on a big project. People wanting to
tick their boxes, meet their timelines, push their style, and you
end up with a place that doesn’t feel like you.
I’ve spent over two decades standing up for clients to make sure
they get exactly what they want. I hear “It can’t be done” a lot.
But when solutions are presented, we create something previously
inconceivable, and ask the unexpected questions, infinite possibilities
reveal themselves.
It’s my clients unspoken agenda that gives me the key to unlock
the process. It opens up a whole new world, one they didn’t
even know existed. It’s why I work closely with you, so the result
feels exactly like you.

PA & Office Manager
13 years as IDI admin manager, she is the boss's right and left hand! So much so that we had her bus cards printed with the title but ICE (In Charge Of Everything!).
Fun Fact: Claire’s passion is travel. She is a walking talking geography lesson based on her own travel experience!!
Alfie Pezzi
Business Development Manager
Comes to IDI with 31 years of senior executive experience in general management, sales and marketing, business development, brand management, product development, export, import and distribution.
Fun Fact: If Alfie is not passionately screaming at a Carlton football match you will find “Mr. Retail” shopping up a storm in a mens’ fashion boutique.

Office Therapist
2016 Cavoodle, graduated from Puppy school and has been a dedicated IDI team member his entire life, often making unassisted selections from the resource library!
Fun Fact: Asahi = Morning sunlight in Japanese.
And if you ask Asahi “where do good puppies go?” he will go straight to his designer puppy day-bed!
